Na tarde deste domingo, jogando no estádio Bento Freitas, o Brasil de Pelotas conquistou sua primeira vitória na Série C do Campeonato Brasileiro ao derrotar o J. Malucelli-PR por 1 a 0. O gol solitário foi marcado no início da etapa final através de Marcelo Moscatelli.
No próximo domingo, às 15 horas, as duas equipes voltam a se encontrar, desta vez em Curitiba, no Eco Estádio.
O triunfo levou o Xavante à vice-liderança do Grupo 15 com 4 pontos. O líder da chave é o Caxias, que empatou com o Metropolitano, em Blumenau-SC, e chegou aos 5 pontos. Os catarinenses com 3 estão em terceiro e os paranaenses aparecem na lanterna com 2.
